Description
Specifically designed for children between the ages of 7 and 15 years, the Flexx Junior is a multi-adjustable pediatric wheelchair that adapts with the child as they change and grow.
The adjustable seat width, depth and height are just a few of the many built in features the chair offers. In addition, the Flexx family accessories ate compatable for use with the Flexx Junior.
Compact, foldable and lightweight, the Flexx Junior is the perfect wheelchair for travel and everyday use.
Children function at different physical activity levels. With this in mind, the Flexx Junior comes with 20 different rear wheel axle positions to choose from.
Configure the rear wheel axle position for optimal performance, customizing the degree of maneuverability and stability of the chair. Children can explore their environment based on their own unique requirements.
The height of the armrest is adjustable. A proper armrest height is helpful to relieve loads on the neck, shoulders and arms and alleviate stress on the back. The flip-back feature makes it easy to get on and off the wheelchair or roll closer to a table or desk.
Adjustability plays a key role in pediatric wheelchairs; the seat width of the Flexx Junior can be set between 255-355 mm, while the seat depth can be set from 285-365 mm. The standard tension adjustable backrest can be configured according to each user’s needs. The seat to back angle is adjustable from -4 to 16°.
Choose between an attendant-propelled wheelchair with 14″ rear wheels or the self-propelled wheelchair with 20″ & 22″ (fixed or quick-release) rear wheels.
By changing the position of the rear wheel axle, you change the center of gravity of the wheelchair and thus changing the performance of the wheelchair.
Moving the rear wheels back will increase the base area, therefore making the chair most stable. Moving the rear wheels forwards will decrease the base area, allowing the caster to roll and swivel more easily.
The ideal position is based on the individual’s weight, height and strength. By changing the center of gravity, the Flexx Junior can be configured to meet the preference of the user.
The optional ergonomic push handle offers more pushing comfort for the attendant. It provides an easier maneuverability with one hand and gives the kid a boost when they are propelling.
